You'll get the hang of it.schwahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15288020550391172394noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2843208155846125658.post-71118240394482289632008-08-21T03:57:00.000-07:002008-08-21T03:57:00.000-07:00Good morning! It's hard to learn to knit without another human there to help you, so good for you!

I think your swatch "grew" because of one of the most common problems for new knitters. When you are about to begin a new row, your tail of working yarn should be in the front of your work if you're about to purl and in the back of your work if you're about to knit.

If you put that tail over the top to the "wrong" side, you'll double that first stitch and that's how your swatch grows. Hope that makes sense. It's a very easy fix and much easier to show than explain!DPUTigerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04972128797520034784noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2843208155846125658.post-21750122366985129202008-08-20T20:14:00.000-07:002008-08-20T20:14:00.000-07:00thats awesome!!!thats awesome!!!Monica Sharphttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17281178186295318394noreply@blogger.com
